Mission & Vision
Increase the well-being of the people who visit our land and of locals, through an emotional experience with the locals, making guests feel at home
(not tourist customers but old FRIENDS who will later become so)
Promote Abruzzo, making Italy’s hidden, still authentic side widely known all year round, at affordable prices, with Transformative Travel as well as experiential travel
Creation of a NETWORK of local, indigenous operators aimed at sustainable territorial and social development
engaging and enhancing local resources by building a system, turning it into the setting for "stories to share", where, alongside local actors, the guest also becomes a non-protagonist, one of us.
History
History of We Mama mia! Born from a deep love for one’s land, like a daughter’s for her mother, from a passion for travel and solidarity. A project born over 12 years ago, when we were just a few dreamers believing in tourism in Abruzzo. It wasn’t approved and, on my own, with my strength alone, I didn’t feel up to it, but I never stopped believing. After experiences at Aptr, the regional tourism agency, at the Sangro Aventino Territorial Pact, at Casale borga, at the Associazione Altri horizons, in clown therapy and around the world, Covid forced me to stay home and focus only on taking care of my mom. Since I can’t stay still and she couldn’t get any worse, I took her around Abruzzo, to cheer her up a bit from her illness and the fear of Covid, and on my PC I attended the Confindustria start-up course, presenting my territorial tourism development project with a social purpose. Life has always taught us to be patient: darkness is good, it nourishes the soul and doesn’t last forever; then comes the dim light that slowly starts to shine. And in fact the light began to shine, with an award from Confindustria Ch-Pe. I made it among the finalists and the company Proger even gave me a Special Prize “Sonia Pantoli”, named and dedicated to the brilliant young colleague who died too soon due to Covid. What can I say, I have no words for such a surprise, with an unmeasurable value. More light than that! And from there I started believing more in myself and in my dreams, and never to abandon them until the end of this earthly life. I want to dedicate this project to my mother, my earthly Angel, to my family, to Pietro Paolo and Alessandra, to the Angels who fly around me (my beloved great-grandparents, my ancestors, Sonia, Vincenzo, Luciano and Silvana, Pietro, Mena) and to all those who suffer...
