A little bit of mAMAMaria Pia

My mother's name is
mAMA maria pia or mAMA pia,
Aunt Pia or piotta for the family, or
Maria Pia.

Her name already
speaks for itself.
She is a one-of-a-kind creature...
Beloved singers:
Eros Ramazzotti and Gianni Morandi.
Favorite ice cream:
Hazelnut and stracciatella.
Favorite dish:
Red pizza.
Favorite channel: Rai 1.
She hardly ever misses an episode of the pre-dinner shows.
Unlike me, she's a creature of habit and has her own daily routine.
She gets anxious about changes.
She's slim but a real glutton.
Grandma almost has to lock the fridge and hide sweets under the bed.
She doesn't like drinking water; she prefers Coca-Cola.
She doesn't drink wine or coffee, but barley coffee for breakfast and herbal teas for every occasion.
She doesn't eat salads but she loves cheese.
Too kind by nature and very thoughtful.
She loves the rosary, the sea, summer hats like an American in Paris, sunglasses, red lipstick, colorful clothes, her perfume,
friends, family and children.
She never goes out without her watch or makeup.
When she was young, she was an artist.
She made copper paintings, painted, knitted and ironed; she loved cooking and studying.

She was shy, reserved and very polite, but also an ironic and stubborn companion.
Before, she never spoke; now she talks in bursts, I have to stop her—it's the illness.
A vegetable in bed had reduced her, but now she has come back to life.
She really likes going out, going to parties, but then she has to go back home.
She tried traveling in the converted van and ever since she has always wanted to go out.
The illness hasn't made her unpleasant; it has made her even more special.
She's a force of nature, she never gives up and
has a big heart, the biggest there is.
follow us.
Whose fije is it?
(Biography)
It’s the fije of my grandpaArmando and my grandma Rina ...
Some time ago, in the countryside of a small town in Abruzzo, Grandpa Armando and Grandma Rina, after losing two little children, gave birth to a special pup to get through the great pain.
That’s how my beautiful mom was born.
Her life rebels and hits hard in the head, the heart, and the throat. It’s no coincidence.
Tested and tried, she overcomes every obstacle with kindness, faith, strength, and courage.
Death keeps trying to take her away to unknown worlds and, with its black cloak, tries to carry her off, but I pull a thin yet steady rope that goes from my heart straight to hers.
She grabs it and fights without anger, as if nothing happened.
She wants to hug me and this wonderful life again.

She lives with a damned, blessed illness, the hardest one to accept.
It’s the one no one can see, but it’s there, and inside it makes so much noise that it echoes outside too.
It plays hide-and-seek, never lets itself be caught and never leaves. It takes your hand forever, keeps you company, and all that’s left is to live with it.
You know, it chooses special people, the ones who never give up, and we won’t either: we’ll fight arm in arm with her at all costs, even when it eats up all your strength and knocks you out in bed ...
One day I’ll tell you better!
