Covid?
TRAVEL AGAIN!
PARTICIPATION IN ACTIVITIES DURING THE COVID-19 PHASE
Do I need a swab test to depart?
If 15 days have not passed since the first vaccine dose was administered, a swab test is required and is the travellers’ responsibility. Validity is 72 hours for molecular tests and 48 hours for rapid antigen tests. The swab can be done at any testing centre, hospital, pharmacy, etc. The negative result must be shown on a certificate.
And if I’ve been vaccinated, do I still need to take a swab test?
In Italy, to obtain the Green Pass it is enough to have had the first vaccine dose for at least 15 days. If so, you do not need to bring a swab test.
What happens if the swab test is positive before departure?
If the swab test is positive before departure and you have therefore contracted Covid, it will not be possible to leave.
Do I need a Green Pass to depart?
Not necessarily.
The Green Pass is a document obtained under one of the following 3 conditions:
having been vaccinated against Covid-19 with one dose within the 14 days prior to departure;
having recovered from Covid-19;
having taken a molecular swab test within the last 72 hours.
Therefore, to depart you only need a certificate, either paper or digital, proving one of the 3 conditions. The situation is constantly evolving and current regulations may change, which is beyond our responsibility. We will be happy to inform you in good time of any changes to ensure you a calm and safe trip.
