TRAVEL AGAIN!
TAKING PART IN ACTIVITIES DURING COVID-19
Do I need a swab test to leave?
If 15 days have not yet passed since the first vaccine dose, you must take a swab test, at the travellers’ expense. Validity is 72 hours for PCR tests and 48 hours for rapid antigen tests. The swab can be taken at any lab, hospital, pharmacy, etc. The negative result must be shown on a certificate.
And if I’ve been vaccinated, do I still need a swab test?
In Italy, to get the Green Pass it is enough to have had the first vaccine dose at least 15 days ago. If so, no swab test is required.
What happens if the swab test is positive before departure?
If, before departure, the swab test is positive and you have therefore contracted Covid, you will not be able to leave.
Do I need the Green Pass to leave?
Not necessarily.
The Green Pass is a document you can obtain under one of the following 3 conditions:
having been vaccinated against Covid-19 with one dose within 14 days of departure;
having recovered from Covid-19;
having taken a PCR swab test within the last 72 hours.
So, to leave it is enough to have a certificate, either paper or digital, proving one of the 3 conditions. The situation is constantly evolving and current rules may change for reasons beyond our control. We will make sure to inform you in good time of any changes, to guarantee you a smooth trip in complete safety.
